Many countries have set the cultural industry as the importantdevelopment strategy in the new round of the internationalcompetitions. As the important part of the culture industry, the movieindustry received increasing attentions by many countries. Since1993,systemic reform has been performed by the China government. Fromthen, the system of China movie industry is switching from plannedeconomy system to Market economy system. The movie industry marketis becoming more mature and the industrialization the movie is the rightway. However, the questions, i.e. the industry competitiveness of Chinamovie, the industry factors and roles of Chin movie, how to export andimprove the quality of China movie, are still not being answered.In this paper, we first compare the indexes of several kinds ofcompetiveness and find the uncompetitive China movie; then weanalyze the factors, which affect the competitive of the movie industry,with the Diamond model from the industry economics perspective; atthe same, we also compare the China movie industry with theEuropeans, Americans and Japanese. In order to verify the result,Factory analysis method was used to analyze the relevance of all thefactors which affects the movie industry. The factors including thedisposable income of Chinese residents, town populations, nationaltele-density, national broadband-density, investment of R&D, numberof film, Concentrative Degree of film industry, governmental policiesand so on. In the end, some advices on how to improve the Chinamovie industry has been proposed to compete with other countries.
