Whole frame rubbing is one kind of Chinese traditional painting in Jiaqing&Daoguang period of Qing Dynasty. It is a method that mainly makes use of ink for rubbing, combined with skills of sketching and papercutting, etc. to present images and figures of objects (bronze or dynasty stone) on the paper created by the use of perspective and shades of ink. Currently, researches on the Whole frame rubbing mostly focus on the introduction and dividing different phases of rubbings, and the collation of materials in existence. The article attempt to analyze the painting a typical painting combining skills of both whole frame rubbing and Chinese traditional painting named Ti Deng Tu. Along with this painting, the article also study other related works to research the relationship between whole frame rubbing and aesthetic taste of the literati, the cooperation of rubbing maker and the owner of object (bronze or dynasty stone), and whole frame rubbing played an important role in Textology and Epigraphy in Qianlong&Jiaqing period.
