The revival of the textology epigraphy in the Qing dynasty reached another peak after the prevailing research of it in the Song dynasty. With more and more philologist, epigraphy collector, calligrapher and even painter are committed to the Ou and Zhao’s Scholarship, they devoted to study the epigraph works, inquire inscriptions, so Qing dynasty has become an important period in the history of epigraphy. "Epigraphy Monk" Dashou shi widely makes friends with other epigraphy amateurs, inquiries painting and calligraphy works, visits inscriptions and becomes the backbone of the study of epigraphy in the Jia-Dao period. His association with contemporary painting and calligraphy artists and scholars is also worthy of our intense research. The precursor of the epigraphy movement RuanYuan and He Shaoji, famous epigraphy collector Wu Rongguang and Liu Xihai, the epigraphy activities between them become an important part of the study of epigraphy in the Qing dynasty. Dashou shi has make huge contribution to the collection and textual research of the epigraphy inscriptions, at the same time, his achievement is remarkable in whole frame rubbing shape, calligraphy, painting, and seal engraving. In coping and carving epigraphy, he create and innovate the whole frame rubbing; in calligraphy art, he is a master in unique malapropism calligraphy, specific character in tile calligraphy; in painting art, he combine the epigraphy and painting in the omen figure painting; in seal engraving, he inherited Zhejiang School and create new seal engraving art, those extraordinary sense of aesthetic orientation makes him distinct from the contemporary epigrapher, it also become the important content of intensive study.
