After Shanghai opened the port,, a large number of exotic new things into thecountry, the arms is one of the many exotic special class, its appearance depends onconvenient location environment and after the International influence,the externalenvironmentthese two incentives. Shanghai’s private arms trade phenomenon SocietyUprising during the Taiping Rebellion in the late Qing Dynasty, especially the mosttypical characteristics of this period of civil arms deals around the concession, and alarge number. Private arms trade from1912to before the war has caused the attentionof the Shanghai Municipal Government and concession authorities and takeappropriate control measures, but the effect is not obvious. Shanghai private armstrade to the operation of firearms and other personal small personal weapons, andfaster product updates, basically representative of the latest international arms andmanufacturing standards. After the liberation of Shanghai, in the private arms trade under the people’sgovernment resolutely remediation phenomenon gradually disappear.In this paper, the investigation of the phenomenon of non-governmental armstrade and the Administration, Analysis of the characteristics of the private arms trade,analysis of hazards as well as government initiatives to deepen the understanding ofthe Republic of China in Shanghai society from one side.
