| With the more thorough globalization and further social development, the foreign languages, especially English, has been playing a significant role in every aspect of our daily life. Meanwhile, with more and more multinational corporations entering China and more and more international conferences being hosted in China, all the Chinese people have been aware of the fact that the frequency and dynamic of foreign language communication is overwhelming. Many adult learners are eager to learn English well so that they can communicate with foreigners smoothly in business and other fields of life.Therefore, how to make the adult learners who has no strong English ability learn English, especially oral English, better and more effectively has become a hot topic in the education field. Though lots of organizations and companies have arranged language training courses for their employees, it has turned out that the all these trainings have yielded little and the results are not satisfactory.Focusing on the real training need of one corporation, this paper applied the systematic instructional design theory into practice and designed a short-term corporation English training course named Practical English Dialogue for Drivers, including the teaching objectives, contents, implementing measures, some tips and audio teaching materials supporting the course. In the entire research process of the paper, the author combined the former research results of adult English learning, followed the procedures of systematic instructional design, took the real condition into consideration, applied the designed course in the real platform and modified the design according the feedback of course learners and observation of the teacher. Besides that, this paper also some indicated several suggestions about the design and implementation of adult English training course in corporation in hope of providing possible help for the future training courses of the same kind. |
