One goal of vocational education is to train more skilled people for the society.With the development of science and technology and changes in the learning conditions in secondary vocational schools,the traditional teaching mode in secondary vocational English teaching has shown many drawbacks.With the popularization of new media,such as Weibo,WeChat,blog,BBS,communication software,various app and so on,students have shown great interest in ways of study with these new media.In fact.students in the secondary vocational schools have a high rate of utilizing the new media and a great dependence on new media.Therefore,we hold that new media will be of great significance if it is applied to secondary vocational oral English teaching.Teachers can stimulate students' interest and improve the effectiveness of spoken English by teaching&learning through different new media.Based on the above analysis,the purpose of this thesis is to explore the mode of oral English teaching in secondary vocational school through new media,to study how we can make students in secondary vocational schools more interested in learning and make teachers there teach more efficiently.New media provides rich learning resources for oral English learning.It provides students with a real learning environment in diverse forms;for example,it can provide a much more convenient,lively and informative interaction environment.Students who are learning spoken English under new media can get immediate feedback and evaluation while learning,which greatly improves the oral English teaching efficiency.How to make better use of the advantages of new media will greatly affect the effectiveness of oral English teaching in secondary vocational schools.The data show that the teaching mode under new media teaching environment has obviously helped to improve students' oral English.Compared with traditional oral English test results,the effect of new media teaching is much better.At the same time,the data shows that the design of new media teaching programs can greatly enhance the students' interest in learning,which remedies the pitfalls of students being passive in learning&teaching.In the end,the deficiencies found in the experimental analysis and the solutions to the problem all help to improve students' oral English.According to the data of the experiment,the thesis summarizes the ideal teaching process and principles of instructional design for oral English teaching in secondary vocational school under new media technology.
