Hugo Wolf (1860~1903) is one of the most prominent German and Austrian Liedcomposers in the late Romantic age. He wrote over200art songs in his short life whatis never free from pain. He not only inherited the musical tradition of the romanticism,but also combined classicalism, romanticism and Modernism perfectly, what blend inwith strong vitality and artistic appeal. His works reflect the transition of the lateromanticism age to modern music in20thcentury, exerted a profound influence on thecomposer after.Spanisches Liederbuch is published in1891, which is the Portfolio of the Wolfmature creative period. The songs of Spanisches Liederbuch not only retain the styleof lied, with both the characteristics of the Spanish music. As the poetry of the lyricsis the translation of the poetry of Spain, which makes the cautious attitude when Wolfduring the creation of completely faithful to the original freed can be devoted more tothe thoughts, ideas and emotions expressed in poetry, that Wolf has gone through thedependence of Alicia Molik and Goethe, the genre of poetry is relatively lessimportant.Spanisches Liederbuch is modeled in this paper, which analyzed three aspectsincluded the creative background, the artistic features and the performing treatment.Two representative works from the concert angle made a specific analysis.The authorhope research in teaching and research Wolf works to provide a valuable referencematerials, a better grasp of the concert of Lied as well as promoting the spread anddevelopment of modern Lied.
