Ba-sentence is one of the difficult spots in teaching Chinese as a second langu-age.Based on the predecessor’s research and the current teaching materials, we sum up eight types of Ba-sentences.l.subject+Ba+object+verb+result.complem-ent;2.nounl+Ba+noun2+verb+give/at/arrive+noun3;3.Ba+object+verb+(-/finish)+ve-rb;4.Ba+objectl+verb+become/make+obj ect2;5. subj ect+Baa+obj ect+verb+finish/apply;6.subject+Ba+object+verb+modal complement;7.combining usage of Ba-sentence and double function-object.8.Combining usage of Ba-sentence and double-verb sentence.Based on eight types of sentences,we do a survey about the acquisition and the avoidance of Ba-sentence.We search Ba-sentences from<<HSK dynamic composition corpus>>, by statisticing the use frequency, accuracy rate,inaccuracy rate and relative rate of accuracy using,we reach the orderof acquisition:2>1>4>6>5>8>7>3.In order to find the avoidance condition of Ba-sentence,we design three questionnaires to research foreign students’using habit of Ba-sentence,forei gn students’understanding of Ba-sentence and Chinese students’using habit of Ba-sentence.By comparing the results of survey, we reach the orderof avoidance of Ba-sentence.3<1<6<2<8<7<1<5<4.By comparing two orders,we find that foreign students’avoidance condition of Ba-sentence doesn’t relative to acquisition condition closely; acquisition condi-tion is just one of all the aspects that lead to the avoidance.Sometimes there’s no avoidance at all in the bad acquisition sentence, but maybe there are more avoidances in a good acquisition sentence. At the same time, the relevance bet-ween acquisition condition and avoidance condition is different in eight types of Ba-sentence.According the result of the research, together with the informations we got during the research, we analysis the reason that lead to the acquisition, based on the reason, we give some suggestions on Chinese teaching and on the compiling of the text books as well. The value of this study is we find that avoidance is not the determiner of acquisition of Ba-sentence. The study can help us to uncover the secret of voidance in some degree.
