Reviewing modern Chinese literature for30years, the author thinks that the most impressing new women characters are ascribed to the pen of left-wing writers in the1930’s. In previous study, few scholars research the female image group as a whole in left-wing literature. This paper attempts to do it and study their spiritual experience of puzzling, struggling and resisting in the transition period from old to new. And then analyses left-wing writers’ psychological characterastic and left-wing literature’s complex connotation through new women’s mental state. Chapter â… , firstly outline the general psychological characteristics of30’s new women and their contradiction psychology in facing the drastic changing period; then discuss the diversity and complexity of three new female groups’ way of living, as well as three psychological types in the revolution; lastly discuss aesthetic features of the image. Chapter â…¡, discuss the delicate change of new women’s psychology in three aspects, including individual life consciousness, gender psychology and individuality liberation according to ten years’ changing left-wing history. Chapter â…¢ is about causes of the new women’s psychology. It discusses social, historical, and aesthetic factors on the basis of first and second chapters and also reflects left-wing writers’ moral and aesthetic appraisal, as well as hesitation between the two evaluations. In the end, the paper drawes a conclusion:left-wing writers created the most active female group in complex choice between political and literature in the1930’s which manifests full awakening of human consciousness and new women’s contradiction psychology in history. |
