The Selection And Comparison Of Madman Image

Both Russian writer Gogol and Chinese writer Lu Xun wrote the novelswith the same title—The Madman’s Diary. Through the selection and comparison of theheros “Manman”, this article explored the relationship between these two’ novels, theirrespective characteristics and the creation of Lu Xun’s novel. The author of this paper atfirst explained how Lu Xun was under the influence of Gogol, and then discussed thereasons why in these novels, both two writers chose the special character “Madman” andthe special “Diary” style. In the third part, the identities of two Madmen and theirpsychology were compared and analysed. At last, comparing the life background, writingprocess, ideal depth and art style of two writers, the author expounded on why there aresimilarities and differences between the two novels.
