In the1990s, the writing of Shanghai occupied a prominent position among the totality of Chinese urban literature, and formed a distinctive sequence because of its obvious feminine feature. Not only those literary works which had received enthusiastic response were mostly written by female authors, but also in their texts, the memory and imagination of Shanghai presented some kind of strong feminine characteristics. This paper choose the perspective of urban space to analyse the texts about Shanghai written by female authors during this period, pick out three representative space images:Long Tang, Bar, Street, and go into the deeper meaning contained in them, such as feminist consciousness, the complicated relationship between the urban and the women, urban culture and spirit of Shanghai and so on. |
