Based on children’s instrumental learning fever, this essay analyzes the social cause and the existing educational misunderstandings of this phenomenon and reflects on the current instrumental education as well as the value and purpose of art education, from the perspective of social musical education of children.This essay states the constitution and essence of music education for children, including school music education, social music education as well as their relationship. Whether our school music education is in progress or in decline; whether the social music education is following or exceeding; whether our art education aims at cultivating accomplishment or in derivatives.
