Wang Zeng-qi's Later Years Writing Research

Zengqi WANG is a famous author in the contemporary age, whose novels, prose and other literary articles have been widely popular since the new period. Although he started writing in early1940s, his writing talent did not emerge until his later years due to various objective factors. It is when he got a peak of his writing career, and to some extent, struck the writing mode during the "Culture Revolution" at the beginning of the new period, brought with him refreshing literatures. Zengqi WANG’s articles in his later years were created in the context of many other old writers restarted to write, which makes his literatures mixed with the general characters of the phenomenon and his unique writing personalities. Getting into WANG’s literatures from the aspects of articles of his later years, this dissertation teases WANG’s creation of his writing route through young, middle and later years effectively, has a macro view of the evolution of his mindset, and even insights into the investigative thinking of the phenomenon of later years’literatures.This dissertation discusses the peculiarities of WANG’s later years’literatures from the following four perspectives:old work re-write, daily narrative, children perspective and the new note body. Through the evolution of his mindset from youth to older, uncovers WANG’s memory, adaptable and independent spirit which influences his later years’literatures. Based on the investigation of WANG’s works, this essay explores the significance of Zengqi WANG and later years’literatures of old writers. During the study of this topic, this paper addresses that those old authors’ later years’literatures become the crucial supplement and improvement of the literary historical study; their memories of the articles in their later years proved to be the valuable primary source of the study; old writers are responsible for the connection between modern and contemporary literature, consciously practice the social responsibility and awareness. In a word, old writer’s later years’articles have become a part of diversified literature pattern which should not to be ignored, and this expects researchers’deeply investigation and study.
