Study Of Five Yue Adjustable Piano Study

Chen Peixun was the one of the most famous composer and educationist in20thcentury of China. The most of his works were orchestral and piano music which was anexcellent integration of music theory and western composing techniques. He utilizes aunique harmonic style in his pieces, which is the vivid performance of the musical styleof the Chinese ethnic characteristics.In the piano works he created, there are five Cantonese tune pieces which are themost representative creations based on the Guangdong music material from the1950s to1970s. Firstly, the five pieces retain the main theme of the originals, but the innovationsalso were made on the application of harmonic and melody, which is capable ofperforming the music with different perspectives. Moreover, the term Chen Peixunconsidered in the creation of this five songs, make full use of the piano, the multi-partmusical instrument to illustrate the performance of traditional Chinese ethniccharacteristics, can be said to achieve the ideal of “East meets West”. Every song in the five pieces is dapper and the feelings and styles are different from each other whichinvolve the playing skills and also these songs are Classics piano teaching materials withhigh educating value.According to the five Cantonese tune pieces which are “Selling groceries”,“Longing for sping”,“Bolt Thunder in Drougut”,“Butterflies Fly in pair”,“AutumnMoon Over The Calm Lake”.This paper is going to research and make analysis to them.This paper consist of three parts below,Part A, chapter1, an introduction to the composer Chen peixun’s life experiences.Chapter2, expound the five creative’s background; via the creation of music background,which is a reflection of the transplantation and redirection to the traditional Chinesemusic from the composer.Part B, Deeply analyzing the five songs from texture, musical structure， applicationof harmonic，respectively. Excavation works of national characteristics and style.Part C, The analysis to the playing skills of these five Cantonese pieces. This part isbased on author’s experience of playing these pieces to explore them especially theessentials and difficulties. To researching the playing style of each piece from keys touching, rhythm, ornamentation, pedal, and multi-parts, respectively.This paper attempts to analyze Chen peixun’s five pieces of piano music then makea regression of the features of Cantonese music. Besides, to probe the train of thought ofthe transplantation and redirection to folk music and to dig the bound value of these fivepieces of music. The last and the most important thing is that to make contribution topiano creative and education, which is the principle of all my works.
