Firstly, based on Marxist theory of class, combined with China’s actual situation on Contemporary China several relations of production: analysis of state-owned economy, collective economy, individual economy, private economy, mixed economy, as defined in the "Contemporary Chinese working class"the concept of connotation: wage income for all or a major source of incomesocial groups.The extension of this concept include: workers of the party and government organs and institutions workers, workers of state-owned enterprises, collective enterprises, workers, the private units.After analysis of the Chinese working class since the reform and opening up a series of new changes:(1) the increasing number, scale and growth;(2) the ranks of the intellectuals, migrant workers, non-public wage earners, unemployed laid-off workers and new ingredients;(3) The working class formed within the new class structure by"cardres-workers’ two-class structure into a hierarchy of state and society managers, managers in six class structure.(4) labor relations strained, serious damage to the interests of ordinary workers.On this basis, the article discusses the new requirements of the contemporary Chinese working class and trade union organizations: a maintenance function more powerful unions.Rights functions of trade unions in China’s often-criticized workers recognized low, highlighting the necessity and urgency of the trade union reform.Finally, starting from the working class of their own development, combined with the actual situation of China’s ecenomic and social development, general idea on trade union reform:Under the premise of adhering to the leadership of the party to clarify the nature of the positioning, all aspects of the reform of organizational structure, funding, personnel, office space, set up mode to enhance the independence of trade unions, shape-independent of the employer’s system of trade union organization truly representative of the trade unionand safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of workers to provide organizational premise.
