| People are living in a risk society, risks may occur at any time, so riskcommunication is becoming important in our lives. The study of risk communicationis becoming the focus of interdisciplinary research. March12,2011, leakage ofradioactive material occurred in the first nuclear power plant of Japan. Affected bythis accident，our people listen to rumors that Iodized salt has anti-radiation effect, sothey bought many salt. Through this event, we see the importance of riskcommunication. Because trust has an important role in risk communication. In thispaper, nuclear energy development and utilization of nuclear power plant constructionas a research background, study risk communication of government trust.Trust in communication refers to the generalized expectancy that a messagereceived is true and reliable and that the communicator demonstrates competenceand honesty by conveying accurate, objective, and complete information. Basedon previous studies of trust in risk communication, we think trust depends oncognitive heuristics. When people reading or analysis of risk communicationinformation, consistent or contradictory information impact on people’s trust.There are two independent variables of the experiment, they are a combination ofsources of information and Consistent or contradictory information. The dependentvariable is trust in government. The results showed that: trust depends on cognitiveheuristics. |
