To really improvethe productivity and acre yield of agriculture in our country, only rely on theobsolete concepts is not enough. Instead, the key is to realize theagricultural information. Make the science to lead the agricultural producingand the technology to assist the farming.It’s worthy to learn foreign successful experience of developingagricultural information. Although the US, Japan and other developedcountries and India, as well as a developing country, are different in manyaspects of the development of agricultural information, including process,level, characteristics and so on, we can find that their success tend to havethe following characteristics after comparing and analyzing: to adjustmeasures to local conditions and be suitable for national conditions; thegovernment gives highly value; to develop the precision agriculture; to payattention to the quality and prescription of the information; to ensure themultiple service subjects and diversified service forms. We have initially built upthe agricultural information platform and agricultural database. Theresearch of agricultural information technology has achieved remarkable results. The agricultural experts system is effective. The agriculturalinformation service has gone down to the basic unit. But these effects don’tmean all the things of our country’s agricultural information. Instead, theproblems of agricultural information we have faced with is imminent. Forexample, the relevant laws and regulations of agricultural information arenot perfect. The standardization and normalization of agriculturalinformation seriously lag. The agricultural information technologycommercialization is not high. A large number of agricultural informationresources have not yet been made full use of.
