Villagers’ Participation Research In Poverty Reduction And Development

As a major factor of poverty reduction and development, villagers’participation is the key that the job of poverty reduction and development smoothly. Essentially, villagers’participation is a kind of social action. It is not only the process that villagers express their interests, but also the effective way that realize the rights equality of various interest groups, and the process that achieve villagers’ social role orientation. In the job of poverty reduction and development, the villagers’participation mainly includes villagers’ politic, economic and cultural participation in the process of poverty reduction related industries development. We explore the logic of action that villagers’participation by studying the villagers’participation situation and various influence factors. In the process of poverty reduction and development, we need combine the villagers’ traditional and natural state of development with open institutionalized channel of poverty reduction together, in order to mobilize villagers’ participation enthusiasm, and pour persistent dynamic mechanism into the harmony and stability of rural community.Taking contiguous development and poverty reduction of CF village in Wuling mountain area for example, the thesis tries to investigate interactive mechanism among interest groups. We also hope to perspective the various complex relationships behind the villagers’participation from the perspective of sociological theory, to provide theory reference for the future poverty reduction and development. Through these analyses, we can analyze the villagers’participation mechanisms more rationally and perfect the theory frame of participatory development.Firstly, for the basis with the actual survey data and interviews, this thesis describe and analysis the villagers’participation status in the contiguous development and poverty reduction of CF village. On this level, we discuss mainly from three parts including villagers’participation environment, participation content and the relationship between villagers and other groups, especially describe the realistic situation of villagers’political, economic and cultural participation. Secondly, from the villagers’ participation details to start, this thesis tries to explore the surface and deep reasons that affect villagers’ participation, and inquire the logic of action that influence villagers’ participation through practical observation and theoretical analysis. In fact, the factors affecting villagers’ participation not only exist in the problems that how many surface interests they can obtain, but also the problems of distribution mechanism after the policy resources enter into the village, as well as the potential impact that traditional culture concept and changes of modernization to villagers’participation concept and participation in practice. Finally, from a reflective attitude, this thesis hopes to propose a set of long-term mechanism of Villagers’ participation based on the rights mechanism, communication rationality and trust mechanism of villagers’ participation in the framework of sociological theory.
