In the21st century, great changes have taken place in all fields of the world. Firstof all, changes have happened in the worldwide trading market. The new trend ofglobal economy is the economic integration. At present, more and more countries andregions have formed such organizations like European Union. So many countries haveno longer imposed taxation in regional organizations. Secondly, internationalenvironment of security has changed. Since the9.11terrorism attack happened in US,the whole world has improved the way for protection and security. In the field of trade,all countries are strengthening the inspection of import and export to control terrorismeffectively. Thirdly, science and technology in the world has been developed rapidly.The development of science and technology is promoting the widely usage ofElectronic Data Interchange and the appearance of new forms of transportation, suchas cargo container. The changes mentioned above promoted the InternationalChamber of Commerce to revise Incoterms2000and the new version took effect onJanuary1,2011. Incoterms has been greatly affecting the trade, so all relating fieldspay much attention to the changes. Currently, researches are less related to this topicand the writer will try to make an analysis in the paper.The first chapter generally introduces Incoterms. The production andamendments of Incoterms are introduced in the first part. And in the second part, theauthor analyzes the reasons for this amendment: on one hand, some shortages are existing in Incoterms2000; on the other hand, great changes have taken place indifferent fields of the world.The second chapter makes it clear to the amendments of Incoterms2010fromthree aspects as follows: changes of framework, changes of the terms and changes ofterms’ contents.The author also compares other rules with Incoterms2010such as United NationsConvention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and Contract Law of thePeople’s Republic of China. The third chapter is about the comparison with CISGfrom their consistence and difference and the fourth one is about that with ContractLaw from two aspects, one is about the property of goods and the other is about thetransference of goods’ risks.The last chapter discusses the impacts to our nation’s trade played byIncoterms2010. When Incoterms2010becomes effective, the other versions ofIncoterms are still in effect. In order to keep of the disputes, the users shall make itclear that which version will be used by both parties. Buyer and seller shall choosethose terms which are best for them according to the new version. And the newmethod for THC allocation will certainly affect the costs of both sides. What’s more,the effects to our trade made by the requirements of information security are alsodiscussed in this chapter.
