Korean’s view towards China has been an important subject in the study of the history of Sino-Korea relations. It also occupies a special place in the study of the history of the Qing Dynasty and Korea relations. Since the early years of the Qing Dynasty, although Korea was a vassal state of the Qing Dynasty and the two sides had also established the relationship of the Grant and Tribute, Korea didn’t agree with the "Heavenly" status of the Qing Dynasty. Korea had always insisted the conviction of honoring the Ming Dynasty and the thought of rebelling Qing Dynasty and rebuilding Ming Dynasty. This situation changed gradually after Yeongjo of Joseon was enthroned. The View towards Chinese and Barbarians During the period of Yeongjo of Joseon is the main object of this paper. Referring to the historical material of The Annals of The Choson Dynasty, The Record of Yan Xing, Zun Zhou Hui Bian and The Record of the Qing Dynasty, this paper makes an comprehensive and systematic study of the view towards Chinese and Barbarians. It also analyses the change, the reasons and the influence of the change of the view in order to reveal the relations between the Qing Dynasty and Korea in this period.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is introduction. On the basis of former researches, the author introduces the research background and the inadequacy, research significance and research methodologies and the historical material.The second chapter discusses Korean monarch and his subjects’ thought of rebelling Qing Dynasty and rebuilding Ming Dynasty during early Qing Period. In this part, the author elaborates the process of establishing the relationship of the Grant and Tribute between the Qing Dynasty and Korea. It also introduces Korean monarch and his subjects’ view towards Chinese and Barbarians during this period.The third chapter discusses the change of the view towards Chinese and Barbarians during the period of Yeongjo of Joseon. This part is aimed to analyze Yeongjo of Joseon and his subjecets’ conviction of honoring the Ming Dynasty and rational treatment to the Qing Dynasty.The fourth chapter deals with the reasons and the influence of the view towards Chinese and Barbarians during the period of Yeongjo of Joseon. This part tries hard to analyze the reasons from objective and subjective aspects. The author summarizes the impact of this change on the North School rise and the development of the two sides.The fifth chapter is the conclusion. Formally, the author summarizes the view towards Chinese and Barbarians during the period of Yeongjo of Joseon through the systematic study. Yeongjo of Joseon and his subjects’ unified the respect for the Ming Dynasty and the respect for the Qing Dynasty. This phenomenon had never appeared. It should be noted that in Yeongjo of Joseon and his subjects’ heart the respect for the Ming Dynasty and the respect for the Qing Dynasty couldn’t be equated.
