Chinese Women’s Christian Temperance Union was one of them,and it’s work is outsanding.Chinese Women’s Christian Temperance Union was established in Shanghai in1920.It was a branch of the World Women’s Christian Temperance Union. What the union had uphold is the Christian doctrine of the "temperance" philosophy. It’s main jobs were the abstinence of alcohol and tobacco, women’s liberation and the establishment of the charity.The union was one of the creators of the famous National Anti-opium Association, and it did tons of works on publicity to promote the liberity of women in the family with the modern parent taught.Also,this union offered charitable institutions for the poor girls,like the tending school of worker’s children. The advocates and the activities of the CWCTU has represent a wohle new lifestyle for Chinese women,it’s new,it’s western,and they thought it’s just appropriate for the middle-class women. This union also did a lot of works to help those women find the right role,whether in the family or in the society,and it solved plenty of practical problems for a large amount of women.These achievements had promote the development of the women’s Liberation Movement during the National Republic of China.The CWCTU’s work has carried on for more than30years, and it has a significant impact on the liberation movement of women and the charity works in china.
