Study On The Community Correction System Of Juvenile Offenders In China

In January10,2012, the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Justice imposed "Implementing Measures for Community Corrections", in which Article33is the provisions for community corrections of juvenile offenders. It’s a tremendous progress of the juvenile community correction legislation in China. The legislation of community correction systems of juvenile offenders in China has made some achievements, but there still exist some problems, such as the low legislative level and the lack of the maneuverability. In practice of community correction of juvenile offenders, we need specialized community correction projects, common standards, and more participation of social organization. In order to improve community corrections system of juvenile offenders, we should make laws for community corrections, establish some specialized projects about community corrections of juvenile offenders and reconstruct national organization of community corrections. In addition, establish the system of criminal record abolition for juvenile also has positive influence for community corrections.
