Ge Lanxi’s Cultural Hegemony Theory And Its Contemporary Enlightenment

Antonio Gramsci was an outstanding theorists of the international communistmovement and the workers’ movement and a strong warrior. Apart from his in-depthstudy and research of the revolutionary theory of Marxism, he was also an activeleadership of the workers’ movement to pronounce revolutionary ideas, life-longstruggling for the liberation cause of the proletariat. When Gramsci was imprisonedand tortured, he still continued working theory of thinking where the extremely broadand profound theoretical issues involved in.Descendants of Gramsci’s theoretical research is mainly concentrated in the"cultural leadership". Combined with the social background where Gramsic were, hisright to cultural leadership means that through the influence of cultural and moral, toobtain the consent of the subordinate Group so as to achieve control over them. On thebasis of the examination of Gramsci’s cultural leadership, adding the reflection on theproblem of cultural leadership, to try to make the cultural construction of socialismmore beneficial. The first chapter in this essay analyzes the cultural leadership of thefoundation in reality and theoretical sources. Besides, the second chapter analyzes thetheoretical basis of the right to cultural leadership from the angle of Gramsci’s practicalphilosophy and the public social theory. The third chapter not only analyzes themeaning of Gramsci’s cultural leadership, but also interpretes the” authority andconsent "and" legality ",which are two main characteristics of cultural leadership fromthe angle of culture-awareness and of the composition of cultural leadership. Thefourth chapter is about Gramsci’s theory of extension and development of the right tocultural leadership, mainly to introduce Gramsci’s theory in the ideology of theFrankfurt School critical theory development,including New Granscianisn.Gramsci cultural leadership of the theory has a strong practical significance intoday’s globalization trend, which suggests that we must remain vigilant, prompts usto see the various manifestations of Western hegemony and warns us to strengthen thesense of the positions of the ideological and political work under the guidance ofMarxist theory so as to make the leadership status of the construction of socialistculture with Chinese characteristics more stable.
