Cultivation Of Citizens’ Virtue Of Justice

Justice is multi-faceted, it presents different forms in different dimensions:laws in political field, market principles in economic field,and virtue in ethic field.Thought is the forerunner of behavior, and justice in ethic field embodies human’s thought and value orientation,therefor,it dominants forms of justice in other fields. Research on the virtue of justice is of great significance for consummating moral construction, realizing social justice and promoting social harmony.The thesis is divided into four parts:The first part traces the virtue justic’s historic theory basis and analyzes it’s feature in practice. The second part shifts theory to reality,discribes phenomena which is lack of the virtue of justice in current social, politic and economic life, and analyzes the causes of these phenomena, including the principle of collectivism being questioned, the social common values being fuzzy, extreme individualism spreading, citizen awareness still being weak. The third part elaborates the importance of cultivation on citizen’s virtue of justice,and it’s sub-arguments are:cultivation on the virtue of justice is the starting point of China’s social and moral construction, the moral demand of development of the current society, the basic content of citizens’quality education. The fourth part proposes the specific ways of cultivating:optimize the environment of education, enrich the contents of education, and to explore the methods of education.Methods applyed in this thesis are:historical analysis, combining theory with practice, exemplification, interdisciplinary study and so on. The thesis traces the history of research on justice both in west and east in ethic field by historical analysis; which provides a basis for this study; shows the current state lack of citizens’ virtue of justice and demonstrates the importance of it’s cultivation by combining the theory with practice and exemplification; analyses the reasons that causes the lack of citizens’ virtue of justice:institutional factors, psychological factors,cultural factors and so on, and proposes specific measures by interdisciplinary method.
