To Construct The Moral Consensus Of Chinese Society With Justice

Moral construction is an important content of culture construction proposed inEighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China. In the present China,Committed to rebuilding social morality is an indisputable fact. Formation of moralconsensus is the foundation of moral construction. The paper uses the method ofphilosophical speculation to discuss how to construct the moral consensus in Chinesesociety.This paper investigates the current status of morality in Chinese society andproposes the current number of moral anomie is essentially because of the lack of moralconsensus. One of the reasons for lack of moral consensus is moral differentiationcaused by social differentiation; another reason is lack of understanding of justice. Butthe moral consensus is so important; construction of moral consensus should be thebasis for the moral construction.This paper defines the meaning of justice on the basis of research results at homeand abroad and proposing on the basis of “justice” to construct moral consensus inChinese society. The author further explains the reason for the support of this view,think that justice in humanity, justice in human virtues, justice in Social morality, have afundamental role. So, justice is the principle of moral values that individuals able toreach the moral consensus in social life.This paper discusses the general principles of construction of social consensus,discriminates the communitarian perspective, the exchanges discourse theory and theconsensus theory in psychology and demonstrates the mechanism of construction ofmoral consensus based on justice in Chinese society. The construction of socialconsensus is a system and complex project. The construction of social consensus shouldbe unfolded from three dimensions: personal virtues, social ethics, and socialpsychology.This paper demonstrates the approach to construct the moral consensus based onjustice in Chinese society. Proposing that the first is to build a just perfect legal system,the fundamental is to build moral values of society, the soul is to construct a fair andimpartial system of moral standards.
