The Study On The Role Of Government In The Patricipation Of Chinese Citizen’s Internet Politics

With the increasing popularity of the Internet and the improvement of people’sliving standards in China, in order to protect their own rights and interests and help thegovernment to conduct a scientific decision, more and more citizens use network tocarry on the political participation, and the circumstances of the trend is growing.Citizens network political participation is not only a kind of citizens to express theirdemands channel, but also a reflection of contemporary democratic society. Networkpolitics as a new participation way to improve the citizen’s democratic consciousness,stimulated the willness of the citizens participation, promoted the democratization,scientization of public decision, and helped to form an effective network of democraticsupervision. But the network political participation is "double-edged sword", because ofthe openness, convenience,interactivity features of political participation of the networkcan lead to civil disorder, irrational political participation, even on the political stability,national security serious threat. Comprehensive analysis of the characteristics and formsof political participation of citizens network and profound analysis the network of thepositive role and disadvantages in political participation plays a great theoretical andpractical significant role for our citizens to advance the socialist democratic politics.The booming development of network political participation in China not onlyhas a strong impact on the current political system but also has proposed the newrequirements to our government’s ability. Compared with the United States, SouthKorea, Britain and other network media supervision of perfecting countries, ourgovernment in supervision aspect of citizens political participation are backwardlegislation, network information increased difficulties of discernment, and the politicalresponse needs to be raised. Based on the comprehensive look at the current situationand the existing problems of our government involvement in citizen network politicalsupervision, this paper thinks to make sure that our politics in the global environment ofthe network work healthy and steady, we should improve the law construction ofcitizens network political participation, strengthen the construction of e-government and the network ethic system,narrow "the digital divide " in China.
