Problems And Governance Of Citizen’s Network Political Participation

The rapid development of network and IT brings people’s lives to a whole new experience, and it affects every aspect of people’s lives. In this context, a new form of political participation come into being——the network political participation. This new form of political participation is loved by the general public for its convenience, efficiency, and other characteristics. Through this convenient platform-Internet, citizens can express interest demands, practice the participation of national public management and promote the construction of socialist democratic politics. Although the network political participation brings us some opportunity, it also brings some challenges. How to make good use of network platform to promote the citizens’ orderly political participation is urgent for us.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part introduces the research background of the network political participation. The second part analyzes the concept, characteristics, function and form of citizen political participation.The third part analyzes achievements and problems of citizen political participation, the problems mainly include:the irrational participation and the network of violence, the network political participation is difficultly pervasive in short term, the absence and lagging of the legal system, the construction problems of the government portal website, the problems of network security becomes more prominent. Part IV analyzes the favorable conditions to promote network political participation, and brings up some strategies to promote the citizens’ network political participation:the organ of state power and the government should take active feasance to citizens’ political participation; create the atmosphere for the network political participation; improve the quality of citizens for the network political participation.
