Study On The Development Of Charitable Organization In China From The Perspective Of Social Capital

Charity is one of the most ancient civilization’s tradition in human history.In China,Charity is experiencing transformation from traditional to modern, and charitable organizations undertake the important historical responsibility.However, currently China’s charitable organizations are facing many development difficulties.so exploring the way of development is the common concern topic of the community.And the rise of the social capital theory in the1990s provides a new research perspective for the development of charitable organizations. On one hand, the emergence and development of charitable organizations need a certain amount of social capital; On the other hand, charitable organizations when they carry out activities also can promote the whole society’s social capital. Based on this.this paper forms the analysis framework that social capital which is characaterized by reciptocated norms.civil participation network and trust, of this three basic elements.can analyze and interpret the charitable organizations’ difficulties like legitimacy,organizational capacity,credibility. And we can explore the developing strategies of charitable organizations from the perspective of social capital, in particular,we should develop and improve reciptocated norms social capital so as to lay the institutional foundation for the development of charitable organizations; establish open and diverse civil participation network in order to form the force of multi-party participation in charitable organizations’ development; reconstruction trust social capital and set up social trust mechanism of charitable organizations development.
