With the reform of the economic system and the development of the social economy, the charitable organizations in China have developed rapidly. In twenty-first Century, charitable organizations play a huge role in making up for the government's public services, such as disaster relief, poverty alleviation assistance, medical assistance,etc..These charitable acts are based on adequate financial support and extensive public participation. But,different from western countries, the majority of charitable organizations in our country mainly rely on limited government financial subsidies, they do not make effective use of social capital to improve their financial income. In addition,in recent years, the social credibility of charitable organizations is reduced by events similar to the "Jocie Guo incident" and opaque financial information, resulting in the plight of charitable organizations into operation, which has aroused widespread concern in the academic community. Therefore,it is great significance to explore the impact of social capital on the performance of charitable organizations, which can improve the charitable organization's charitable income and enhance the social image. In this context, based on the social capital theory, performance management theory, and internal control theory, this paper analyzes the current situation of China's non-profit organization performance and performance management. This paper systematically analyzes the theory of social capital and the theory related to NPO performance.Social capital is measured by three dimensions: social networks, social trust and social norms, and the hypothesis of the relationship between the three measures and the performance of charitable organizations are proposed. The corresponding structural equation model was also established. The questionnaire was designed based on expert interviews and literature analysis. The Amos was used to verify the hypothesis of correlation data.According to the results of the verification, based on the perspective of social capital, this paper puts forward suggestions on how to improve the performance of charitable organizations from three aspects: social network, social trust and social norms.
