Protection Of The Lives Of Older Persons With Disabilities

As the problems caused by the elderly population have become more apparent, the elderly population has become an important topic faced by the whole world. Specially, the disabled elderly as the vulnerable group should be watched more. Currently, research in this particular group is only a few. So studying the elderly population gives some help with theoretical significance for building a harmonics society in China, for analyzing and solving the problems brought by the aging of the population, and for concerning about the vulnerable group. And at the same time, concerning about the security of life of the disabled elderly is also so crucial for building a sound social security system. The passage is based on demanding theory, forum and function theory, social support theory, harmonious society theory and the theory of fairness on base line. It researches life security condition of the old on their material demand and spiritual demand, and then points out the character of the disabled compared with the normal in the population of the old. With the method of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, the passage designs and codes with the questionnaires, based on on-the-spot investigation and data collection in Tongliao City in Inner Mongolia, we find that there are problems on life security on disabled old people, for example, there is not enough social attention on them, the function which a family should provide for the old is weaker, the social endowment for the old is not perfect, and the relevant laws and policies system on government have not been established, nor carried on, nor supervised effectively by the society. therefore, to secure disable people’s endowment life, it makes sure that family、 society、and government which with different role to take up their corresponding responsibility, be organic combination and coordination, give enough play to the basic role of family security, develop and extend the social pension model, complete the relevant laws, solve the community problems earnestly, and improve the life safeguard level of disable old people.
