As the marginal man of the city, migrant workers have made a great contribution in China’s urban construction and the rapid economic development. As the main body of the migrant workers, the new generation migrant workers gradually become the important research object of the social change in China.In2010the central document, it requires to solve the problems which the new generation migrant workers face to, and make a better development, this also brings more attention for them.Through the current researches of the values of new generation migrant workers mainly concentrate on the characteristics and the specific performance of the values. From the angle of the city cultural products consumption, guided by the values of Marxism, building the measurement system with Allport’s theory of value and the cultural consumption, as the means of Likert scale, this paper studies the situation of their values. According to the relevant information, this article try to find the components of the city cultural products consumption and the values, and on the basis of it, build the corresponding model and measurement index. We choose Taiyuan textile mall in Qiaokou district as the sample site, adopt a questionnaire investigation to carry on a deep empirical research, analyse the influence of the individual characteristics to the city cultural products consumption and the relationship between this consumption and the values which based on the statistical analysis. According to the conclusions of this study, we put forward some proposal to guide the values of the new generation migrant workers, and to protect their rights.The main research conclusions are as follows:(1)The individual characteristics have strong influence to the city cultural products consumption, among these, level of education, political affiliation, income and the occupation factors play an obvious role in promoting the consumption.(2)The city cultural products consumption of the new generation migrant workers do not play a significant role to the changes of their social, scientific and political values, the hypotheses has not been confirmed.(3) The city cultural products consumption of the new generation migrant workers has a significant promoting effect to the changes of their practical, belief, aesthetic as well as overall values, the hypotheses has been confirmed.For the conclusion of the study, we can take four measures to guide and upgrade the values of the new generation migrant workers:widen the channels of information, develop diversified culture entertainment; enhance the education level, enhance the cultivation of cultural quality; promote the political quality, make a vigorous efforts to carry out the socialist core values education; improve the treatments, realize the fairness of allocation safeguard.
