Geographic factors have a major impact on national development andimplementation of foreign policy and foreign relations. How well the development ofsea power, it is a manifestation of a nation’s comprehensive strength. Sea power is afundamental guarantee for the country to become the world’s Sea power and a worldpower. And it is the strategic line of defense that can expand outward, maintain theland safety from the sea; and economic benefits for the country. India is the SouthAsian country, after India’s independence, successive governments has been to controlthe Indian Ocean, into Southeast Asia, squeezed into the Asia-Pacific countries asIndia’s strategic goal. Beacause,it can provide a solid foundation to the India becomea world power. Outstanding location, global geo-strategic security and economicvalue of South China Sea, which make it become a primary goal of India’s outwarddevelopment of sea power, and also let it be used to contain China’s peaceful rise ofIndia’s trump card. India to Southeast Asia and its strategic direction, and put theIndian Navy influence on the South China Sea. Indian naval forces will extend to theeast as well as to the South China Sea region. India involved in the South China Sea isthe world’s sea power and a world power’s strategic vision to guide theimplementation of its next steps. India involved in the South China Sea had an impacton the South China Sea’s regional geopolitical situation. On the one hand it makingthe South China Sea region into the extra-territorial power new struggling points, andmakes the South China Sea permeated with traditional and non-traditional securityfactors; on the other hand, the increase in power factors promote the furtherinternationalization and complexity of the South China Sea. And you want to solveit in a short term is difficult. To solve the problem of South China Sea need to seeknew, rational and flexible approaches. South China Sea issue concerns China’s coreinterests, and China facing the realities of India involved in South China Sea and itsgeopolitical situation changes, China should build a comprehensive geo-strategic andimprove comprehensive national strategic capability, focus on the development ofnaval power; In addition, pay attention to the countries in the South China Sea’sinterests and carry out negotiation on the South China Sea; and actively participates inregional energy and security cooperation; also cooperate with Taiwan to safeguardnational sovereignty, and find an opportunity and solution to the problem of the South China Sea.
