| Culture is the soul of a country and nation. In the new period of theglobalization process sweeping the world, as an important identification reflecting anational’s way of life and developmental style, accompanied by the increasingly keencompetition of overall national strength among countries, the strategic position ofculture has become increasingly prominent. The seventeenth Party Congress made"the Scientific Outlook on Development " guiding ideology and wrote it into theParty Constitution. And for the first time they proposed the strategy of "ImprovingCultural Soft Power ". Those will be very significant and far-reaching impact for thenation’s whole developmental strategy. We need a further research on the culturaldevelopment strategy for the goal of cultural power and the moderately prosperoussociety.My paper highlights the characteristics and current situation of China’s culturaldevelopment through the comparison and comprehensive analysis in the traditionalculture and modern culture, Chinese culture and Western culture. The paper revealsthe important position of the cultural strategy that based on the new achievements ofthe construction of a harmonious socialist society since the Party’s17thCongress.Researching the cultural documentaries of Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, JiangZemin, especially, Comrade Hu Jintao’s important speeches of the culturalconstruction, learning from the academic excellent theoretical results, the authorintend to improve the strategic thinking of China’s cultural. This paper elaborates theconnotation of culture, cultural development and cultural development strategy,summarizes the cornerstone of our cultural development under the scientific conceptof development, analyzes the basic structures of cultural development strategy andimplementation strategy in the Scientific Concept as the threshold. At last, the paperinvestigates the methods of promoting China’s cultural prosperity and the path ofachieving the peaceful rise of cultural power. |
