Group buying is not a new thing. But when the traditional group buying collocate withthe internet-based trading platform which is developing rapidly, online group buying thatderives from this phenomenon has become the hottest consumption pattern in recent years.Due to its advantages such as “economy”“convenient and efficient”, Online group buyingexpands to consumers of all ages rapidly which has influenced and changed people’sconsumption concepts and trading habits greatly.As a new consumption pattern, the online group buying market in our country is not ripe.Problems all occur before people make clear the true colors of bulk network because themarket operation mechanism is not perfect, together with the lag of network economy andconsumer protection legislation. As consumers of online group buying, our rights are beingchallenged by the online group buying consumption pattern. This will not only threatenconsumers’ legal rights and interests, but also make consumers lose faith in the fledglingonline group buying. It is in this context that the author summarized and analyzed the statusof the protection of consumer rights in national, industry, the consumer protection associationand the market subject from the point of view of the customer and based on the analysis theauthor is trying to perfect the protection of consumers’ rights of network group buying in ourcountry and put forward some personal opinions hoping to provide a reference for theprotection of network consumers’ rights and interests.This thesis is divided into three parts. the first part summarize the protection ofconsumers’ rights and interests in onion group buying, including: the definition of the conceptof online group buying, the characteristics of network group buying transaction, analysis theeffects made by the new consumption patterns, and the challenge to the protection ofconsumers. The second part, analysis the status of the protection of consumers’ rights inChina, the author takes the subject of consumer protection in online group buying as keypoint, summarize and analysis the protection situation of three subjects-movement, industryand consumer’s association, subject of market. The third part, table a proposal to perfect ourcountry’s consumer protection in network group buying, the author put forward the followingthree main specific measures: first, perfect the legal system; Second, give full play ofconsumers’ association and industry; Third, enhance consumers’ consciousness of protectionof rights. The author hope to make full use of all social forces to establish and perfect the system of protection of online group buying consumers, making our network group buyingconsumer protection to a new level.
