Multiple political structure is the most pronounced traditional character in Japanesepolitics. It create a unique political evolution in the history process, at the same time, it isalso a decisive factor in the development of modern Japanese politics.This article starts with the Japanese traditional political development, on the summaryof Japanese politics plural structure’s formation, combined with the early Meiji nationalmodernization realistic factors, and investigate the process and reasons of Japanesemultiple structure in all political forces caused by multidimensional separation andcompromise, to clear the important influence and restriction of Japanese politicaltradition’s impact to the modern political development.Japan’s party politics is the combination of Japanese traditional political character andthe character of the Western’s. Based on the separation factor, which is the traditionalJapanese politics character, created the form of multidimensional separation in thecomplex historical environment of Meiji period. Also, it is gradually completed under thecomplex and changeful struggle as well as compromise between the Meiji governmentfactions, using the form of Western political party system. Both the forming andcollapsing of Japan’s pre-war political party can due to the multiple political structure’sestablishment. The democratic reform of modern party politics in the postwar areaffected by multiple political structure, which includes faction politics and multi-partypolitics in complex after cold war environment. In this paper, with the characteristics ofJapanese traditional political model—reestablishment of multiple political structure in theMeiji period as the key link, modern Japanese party politics during multidimensionalseparation and compromise political power struggle for the head, lead a detailed study ofthe Meiji Constitution system and its effect on the modern Japanese politicalsignificance.This paper is divided into three parts: the first part elaborates Japan’s multiple politicalstructure tradition, including its generation, development and improvement. And the finalpolitical thought forms can be stable inheritance, which plays an important role in thepolitical process. The second part focuses on the process of Meiji period multiplepolitical structure, which is required by modern state political system. Traditional multiple political structure combined with advanced western political system, making itsown alterations found in preserving their original features of the new form. As a result,continued to play an important role in the course of political development in modernJapan. The third part focused on the modern party politics influenced by multiplepolitical structure. Described the political system itself means the inheritance and thedevelopment of the political structure. And plural political structure will still play animportant effect on the Party Politics in Japan.
