After the cold war, the extensive political and economic reform and social transformation in central and eastern Europe announced a new era. During the20years, central and eastern Europe has changed a lot in political, economic and social aspects, while as the bridge of connecting people and public power, the parties have played vital roles in Interest integration, elections organization, wielding regime and political socialization etc, and have been affected by this political transformation. From mess to orderliness, from set-up to consolidation, from domestic politics centered to meeting the challenges of "Europeanisation" and globalization, political parties have experienced a long and tortuous evolution process. In terms of party structure, political parties have shown similar structure features in political roling method, inter-party relations or internal organization structure. According to the structural functionalism, political structure decided the political function, so the structural features of political parties in central and eastern Europe deeply influenced their function of socialization. On one hand, effective party structural adjustment has promoted the national socialization process, and has played an important role in political stability, democratic consolidation,"Europeanization" process and problems in minority. On the other hand, the defects of party structure also limited the party’s role, such as ignoreing the organizations at the grass-roots level, excessive pursuit APP, excessive "Europeanization" in party structure, which all set their political socialization process in trouble. This thesis will be a summary of the internal and external structure characteristics of political parties in central and eastern Europe after the cold war. Besides, on the basis of of the relationship of party structures and the functions, the functions of the party’s role in political socialization, the difficulties, and the hidden reasons will also be particularly analyzed.
