Kunming Municipal Party Cadres Modern Distance Education Research Work

Communist Party of China has always attached great importance to the education and training of party members and put it in an important position with out any slackness. Modern distance education for party members and cadres in order to strengthen the construction of rural grass-roots party organizations and promote rural economic development is a groundbreaking form of education of Party members and a brand new thing. It is on the basis of the traditional mode of education of Party members,combined information technology with modern educational organically, using technologies and means of computer, multimedia, modern communication to provide education and training to party cadres and the masses. Carry out the Party members and cadres of modern distance education, is a strategic initiative to promote the education and training for party members and cadres to fully conform to the times, follow the law, and be creative. It is a carrier to establish frequent cadres education, long-term benefits for the farmers’ and an important way to propel agriculture and rural modernization with Information technology.Since2007, after five years of effort, Kunming has built a modern distance education network for rural party members and cadres which covered the whole city and achieved a education-terminal coverage of100%in all towns, streets, villages and communities. However, there are still a lot of weak links in the modern distance education for party members and cadres. This article will elaborate the current status of the work and analyze problems based on personal practical experience and the actual situation of party members and cadres of modern distance education in Kunming, trying to learn advanced concepts and experiences from other regions, and seek countermeasures to promote management development. Through the studies in this field, the author explored ways to make the modern distance education of Party members and cadres to fully play an important role and healthy development, improving in practice constantly.
