The Analysis Of Public Participation Mechanism In China’s Food Safety Supervision

To the country people is all-important, to the people foodstuff is all-important, tothe foodstuff safety is all-important. The safety of food relates to the health and lifesafety of the public and also relates to the stability and development of an economiccountry. In recent years, food safety accidents occur frequently in our country, whicharouse the attention at home and abroad. Even though our government has alreadyrealized the importance of public participation and has taken some comparativelyeffective measures, fundamentally it hasn’t jumped out of the “all around”government management mode in the past and hasn’t met the effect and importance ofthe public which give play to supervise the food security. As a result, it’s becoming anurgent issue to enhance the degree of public participation and give full play tosupervise the food security.According to analyzing the concept of food safety supervision, publicparticipation, public participation mechanism, by means of investigating the physicaltruth of the public participation in food security in Songyuan Jilin province, by usingfor the reference of the advanced experiences of other countries and regionscombining the physical truth of Songyuan, the thesis analyses the problems of publicparticipation in food safety supervision in our country, puts forward the ideas andmeasures to perfect the public participation in supervising food security, consummatespublic participation mechanism in food safety supervision, and puts forwardconstructive suggestions to strengthen the supervising of food security for ourgovernment in the future.
