Research On The Willingness,Behavior And Their Influence Factors About Public Participation In Food Safety Management

This article analyzes the current status and existing problems of food safety supervision based on the perspective of public participation.Through the field questionnaire survey of Lixia District,Jinan City,combined with mathematical statistics analysis,the affecting factors and the public’s willingness to participate in food safety supervision and behavior were verified and analyzed.On the basis of empirical research and analysis,suggestions to promote public participation in food safety supervision are put forward.It shows important theoretical and practical value in improving public understanding of social policies,achieving food safety and social co-governance,improving food safety social co-governance system,and promoting the implementation of food safety strategy.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is a general introduction which includes the background of the research,reason of researching the question and meaning of this research,then the research on the social co-governance,the social security system of food safety,and the related literature analysis on the research of food safety supervision.The basic concept definition and research ideas and research methods and other aspects.The second part introduces some generalities of public participation in food safety supervision and theoretical basis.It includes the basic ideas,core elements and,key steps,and the basic theory of administration of public participation in food safety supervision(social co-governance theory,planning behavior theory,stakeholder theory,and public participation theory).The third part is the analysis of the willingness and behavior of public participation in food safety supervision.Through empirical analysis,it is found that the willingness of the public to participate in food safety supervision is strong.Effectiveness of participation is the main reason for public participation.It means that the existence of benefits can be regarded as the driving factor of public participation.However,according to the public participation in food safety supervision,supervision channels ofthe public are insufficiency,in a low level of participation.In addition,willingness of the public participation in food safety supervision can be lower when their participation cannot be in line with the desired effects,which reduces the participation behavior.The fourth part analyzes the influencing factors of the willingness and behavior of the public to participate in food safety supervision.Through regression analysis,it is found that the main influencing factors affecting the public’s willingness to participate in food safety supervision are marital status,media propaganda,NGO propaganda and information factors.The main influencing factors affecting public participation in food safety supervision are gender,marital status,employment status,Media promotion,participation channels,and the organizational level of the organizers.Recommendations and countermeasures are discussed in the last part.In view of the problems and empirical analysis of the willingness and behavior of the public to participate in food safety supervision,we should raise the public’s cognitive level,innovative participation methods,improve and improve the public participation system,and broaden the public’s participation channels.
