The appearance of the Criminal Psychological Trace Analysis (CPTA)pioneers a new way to the criminal investigation. It breaks the passivity of theconventional methods, and carries on the detection from an even more active way. It ismore significant to expose and attack the crimes. The CPTA technique is of high value,however, there are a variety of difficulties to employ this technique to the practicalinvestigations due to its abstractness, indirection complexity and other characteristics.In order to make the CPTA technique more convenient for the investigators so that theycan do better service for the criminal investigation, it is necessary to simplify theprocessing of the complex technique. So the author proposes the model building of theCPTA. The model has two meanings: the first is the abstractness, and the second isspecific. Model building seizes the essential characteristics of the prototype, and thenabstracts, simplifies and structures the prototype so as to construct a model which fullyreflects the prototype’s nature of contact and has the properties of systematicness,integrity, structuredness and hierarchy, and acquires the information of the prototypefrom this model to lay a theoretical basis for the further research and application. Themodel makes the highly abstract CPTA technique able to be understood and applied bythe investigators and makes it as a normal model; it is more available for the guidanceof the investigation practice. Therefore, Criminal Psychology Trace model provides anew understanding of criminal investigation methods and ways of thinking. It is thedialectical unity of scientific understanding of the process of abstract and concrete. This thesis is divided into five parts, about41000words. The concept ofpsychological trace was analyzed, and the forming processes of the CrimePsychological Trace is arranged, the characteristics of Crime Psychology Trace indifferent stages of the crime processing are analyzed, and then constructing the modelof Crime Psychology Trace from four aspects based on the basic principle of modelbuilding. Finally through specific case to validate the feasibility of constructing modeland scientific and the deficiency were perfect.The first part is the outline of the Crime Psychology Trace.
