In recent years, under the care of the Party and the government, the educated rate and levelof disabled persons in China have been significantly rising. Meanwhile,a bigger difference stillexists in the employment of disabled persons compared with healthy people, and even biggerproblems with the employment of the deaf community, with a large number of members, exitst.Deaf people can’t communicate or have difficulty in communicating with the outside world bynormal languages, which is the biggest factor leading to the employment difficulty. Inaddition, a relatively low cognitive caused by physical defects, and imperfect mentaldevelopment,obviously different with mainstream society in views of choosing jobs, have lefttheir employment difficult, short working time,frequent job changes and the interpersonalcommunicating difficulties during the employed time, etc. Deaf people’s crimes initiated bythat has a bad influence on social stability.As practice has proved, the guidance in employmentskills of deaf people, that is to say, a proper direction and guidance of deaf students in choosingjobs and being employed, helps them not only reduce the difficulty in hunting for jobs but alsoadjust themselves to their job posts well,depend on themselves to make a living,and rewardsociety in a better way. Having referred to certain related documents and practices in relatedschools at home and abroad, comprehensive applying literature research way,comparativeresearch way and interview way,I have come to find that effective employment guidance,whichaims at helping the deaf students learn professional world, understand modern professionalrequirement for quality of practitioners, know self education, develop career decision-makingability and learn to adapt the post, efficient employment guidance can stimulate the deaf students’learning motivation, help the deaf students set up the correct view of being employed,developthe deaf students’career potentials,improve their matching the posts for their talents to fitthe jobs,and at the same time,can promote the special-education vocational educationinnovation and development. In orde to have an adequate idea of civil present conditions of deafpeople’s employment guidance, especially that in Jinan,by researching in Jinan special-education vocational School and other similar shools, using interviewing and other similarresearching ways, I have come to find that deaf students have a positive employment attitude butlack confidence or fear work, with a bit too high a requirement together with a blind optimism ofthe post., and that schools’employment guidance helps the students learn about employment,especially making them greatly benefited from professional morals, and that theguidance course somehow disagrees with the students’ practical life, with the students having ajust so so interest in the courses. While I joyfully find such efficient measures the schools havetaken as cooperating teaching with producing to promote eduction to meet job markets, openingthe employment guidance courses, carrying out “Three–certification” graduation rule toimprove the students comprehensive qualities, I also find there are such problems existing inthe employment guidance, as the specialization degree of the deaf student employment guidancework is insufficient, with a dull working method, and with the working form not flexible, aspresent textbooks on employment guidance don’t suit the students well, and frequent problemsaouse in the course of the students’ being employed and many other problems. According to theproblems above caused by more and more serious employment situation, the schools payinglittle attention to employment guidance,the family lacking the employment education to the deafones, I suggest improving the employment guidance of deaf students from the aspects oftraining them in a healthy mind and fine personality, paying much attention to developing andbuilding up the suitable employment guidance,especially adding to enterprising educationcourse, building and improving the family and society’s cooperating education system, inorder to promote the disabled students’ all-side development, creating better conditions andcircumstances for the disabled to participate in social life equally, contributing to thecomprehensive constructing a well-off society and building a socialist harmonious society.
