In the performance of social space, Urbanization can be regarded as the city take overthe rural traditional. At the level of social subjects, it can be regarded as the recognition ofthe land-lost farmers of their new Identity. In a very short time, most of them have to obeythe institutional arrangements of the government. Leave along the countryside and move inthe concentrated residential areas, beginning to face the almost completely market-orientedurban life. Whether it is in their identity, professional roles or in their culturalpsychological, this need to go through the process of a transformation and identity change.The identity issues of the land-lost farmers affect the advance of urbanization.This study takes the Suzhou land-lost farmers community as the research object,collects much first-hand information through questionnaires and interviews. As the socialactors, the land-lost farmers did not get a high degree of recognition on their newidentity.Because they did not get enough economic capital、social capital and culturalcapital to meet the requirements of modern economic and social life.To solve the above problems, the papers trying to make some suggestions andreferences, explore from these three angles: the governments、the communities and theland-lost farmers, to promote the achieve of their identity.
