The South China Sea has always been a part of the territory of China. The SouthChina Sea issue began in the1970s, With the development of the South China Seaissue, some outside major powers began to intervene in the issue, particular, theintervention of the United States. It is important to study the U.S. involvement in theSouth China Sea issue and the countermeasures that we should take. In this article, wetake countermeasures by analyzing the United States’s policy of the South China Sea,the motivations and means for US’s intervention. This paper is divided into three parts:the introduction, body and conclusion.The introduction talks about the significance of studying the South China Seaissue,especially the factors come from the United States.The first part of the body shows the reasons and the status quo of the SouthChina Sea issue. The second part focuses on analysis of the US’s policy changes forthe South China Sea as well as the reasons for the changes, the means of interventionand analyzes the impacts of the U.S. involvement in the South China Sea issue. Thatthe South China Sea policy of the United States is not a consistent, but with thechanges in the U.S. Asia-Pacific strategy. The third part proposes countermeasures onthe basis of analyzing the factors of the United States. Although the the U.S. factors make the South China Sea issue complicated, we can take advantages of many of thecontradictions between the United States and the South China Sea issue countries toreduce and eliminate the influence of the United States on the South China Sea issue.The conclusion summarizes the points of the paper.The U.S. Involvement deeply influence the South China Sea issue. If we want tosolve the South China Sea issue, we must attach importance to the U.S. Factor. Onlythen will we be able to preserve our national interests.
