Youth Development Indicators: Concept, System Framework And Index Measurement

Mankind is the decisive factor in each evolution, in this regard, sustainable development of economy and society essentially depends on the younger generation. Establishing youth development indicators system to generally measure and comprehensively assess the youth development status is the necessity to accelerate the unisonous development between youth groups and the economy or society. It is also the foundation to reinforce the youth affairs management. On the basis of theory reorganization, concept definition, bibliography reference and field analysis, this article has formed ideas, gist and principles of establishing youth development indicators system, and proposed the conceptual framework, main content and monitoring methodology of the indicator system. This study suggests that youth development indicators system should be composed of precise statistics, standardized questionnaires and systematical bibliography, and it needs to be deepened and accumulated constantly through practice.
