Based on increase and decrease of future Olympic projects and the general "downsizing" principles which are formulated to the National Games by State Sports General Administration, the 12th National Games of competitive events will be adjusted accordingly. Sanda will be one of the "downsizing" projects, and the gold medals will be reduced to five from the last National Games of seven. So this is related to the re-set of Sanda. This paper uses methods of literature, expert interviews, survey questionnaires, video observation and other research methods to research the re-set of National Sanda gold medals’project. hrough information feedback of the respondents and related experts and through the statistics of competition skills in each level of men and women, it is analyzed to the projects setting of men’s personal projects, men’s and women’s team projects. The results showed: the level of men’s individual projects should be 60kg, 75kg and 85kg; the level of men’s team projects should be 56kg, 65kg, 70kg, 80kg and 90kg; the level of women’s team projects should be 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 65kg and 70kg. In the National Games, whether setting items or not and the number of projects have great influence on the survival and development of Sanda. With the development of Sanda, the number of projects and specific levels in domestic large games should grow in step with the International development, in order to make Wushu promote and spread in the world, and to reach the projects-setting unification of domestic and international competition. This paper studies Sanda projects setting of the 12th National Games, and it is hoped that will provide references for the future projects’changing.
