Our country is a multinational country and the economic progress of ethicalregions lags behind than inland all the time. How to deal with the sustainabledevelopment essentially, enhance human resources quality and promote humanresources competitiveness in ethnic regions is an important subject for our Chinesepeople. University students of ethnic groups, as high quality professionals trained byuniversities and colleges to ethnic regions, are indispensable in human resources ofethnic regions. They are key elements for the realization of the sustainable developmentof human resources in ethnic regions. It is of great significance in strategy to guideuniversity students of ethnic groups to get employed in ethnic regions, serving theeconomic and social development in ethnic regions.Through the empirical investigation of Z University, also taking Guangxi ZhuangAutonomous Region for the example, this thesis deeply examines the factors of theemployment of the returned university students of ethnic groups, by using the basictheories of human resources competitiveness and employment behavior theories.Considering the situation that human resources competitiveness attracts more attention,this thesis tries to analyze how university students of ethnic groups get to be employedand how to promote human resources competitiveness effectively in order to eventuallyrealize the sustainable development of human resources in ethnic regions.This thesis consists of seven parts.Part One introduces the research background, the significance and the researchapproaches, and demonstrates the definitions of university students of ethnic groups andcome back hometown to get employed.Part Two illustrates the approaches of improving regional human resourcescompetitiveness and literature review on university students’ employment at home andabroad. In this part, the author also describes theoretical framework. Furthermore,through behavior system of social theorists, this part tries to construct the theoreticalmodel of employment mixing regional development and the employment of the returneduniversity students of ethnic groups together.Part Three presents the research model and the research design, taking GuangxiZhuang Autonomous Region and Z University as the samples. Part Four demonstrates the current situation of the employment of the returneduniversity students of ethnic groups according to the questionnaire. This part is based onthe payroll data of Z University over the years.Part Five is conducted based on “Effects Chart”, which is the14th question of thequestionnaire. This part deeply analyzes the factors of the employment of the returneduniversity students of ethnic districts. It shows that such factors as environmental, social,personal, and family factors have great influence on the employment of the returneduniversity students of ethnic districts. And these factors differ greatly with each other asthe employed change.Based on the empirical study, Part Six puts up with the measures of theemployment of the returned university students of ethnic groups to accord with therequirements of human resources competitiveness, from the following four aspects: thesociety, the government, the university and the employed themselves.Part Seven displays the shortcomings of this study and the correspondingsuggestions for further research.
