In recent years, the difficulties of graduate employment have already been asociety-wide consensus for a very long time. However, due to the restrictions of thesocial environment, family background, their own conditions and other factors, ruralgraduate has much greater pressure than city college students. Therefore, a great amountof concern and research on this vulnerable group is particularly significant. The researchis about the social employment support to rural graduates according to a case study ofSouth-Central University for Nationalities. The research takes the method of the surveythrough questionnaires and interviews of individual case around two aspectsrespectively the formal social support and informal social support. The author is tryingto present the fundamental situation, the existing problems and causes of the socialemployment support to rural students thoroughly and systematically, and to put forwardthe corresponding solutions and suggestions.The whole paper is divided into three parts besides introduction.The first chapter mainly analyzes the current employment and social employmentsupport situation of the rural students. The current employment situation includes thestudy sample of the rural graduates and the employment situation. The current situationof social employment support mainly spreads from the formal social support andinformal social support. The formal support comes from government, schools, massmedia, the employer and employment agency. The informal support comes from parentsand relatives, friends, classmates and teachers.The second chapter reveals the existing problems of social support also from the twoaspects, that is formal and the informal aspects, and analyzes the causes arousing theseproblems.The third chapter is the solutions and suggestions about the problem. According tocurrent situation of social employment support to rural students and those existingproblems, the author puts forward corresponding solutions and suggestion from severalaspects such as the formal and informal social support, and rural students individuals.Finally, the author builds a working model of social employment support to ruralstudents on the basis of drawing results of others’ study.The last section of this paper is a part of summary and reflection, elaborates the findings of this study, and explores the existing imperfection or drawbacks of my study.
