As rowing is becoming one of the most popular competitive activities in the world, rowing paddletechnology has presented different style characteristics. According to circumstance, all coaches and athletesare trying to choose a suitable condition technical style, if the technical style is not chosen conformity with thebiological mechanics principle, it will greatly restricted the form of the athlete, and even influence the result atlast. At present, among all kinds of technical styles, there’re two technical styles "Luxembourg technology"(pull the oars earlier) and "Adam technology"(pull the oars later) being widely used. In each kind of technicalstyle, there is proper athlete body links kinematic and "people-boat-oar" system kinematic characteristics, howto choose a more reasonable technical style and get a better control of the "people-boat-oar" whole system hasbecome one of the frontiers on rowing biomechanics. This study compared "Luxembourg technology"(pullthe oars earlier) and "Adam technology"(pull the oars later) on kinematic features during one propeller cycle, deeply discussed the relationship between the two technical styles under the style of sports association onbody links. Through the process of one paddle related reference point of time parameters, speed parameters, the analysis of the displacement parameters in each stage, this can provide kinematics basis for rowingtechnology style modeling, and offered paddle provide data basis and technical style theory support onchoosing rational rowing styles. The research was conducted with the German SIMI Motion image analysis system, took fouroutstanding female single sculls(LW1X) players of Zhejiang Sports Institutes as testees, they were asked touse "Luxembourg technology" and "Adam technology" in one cycle of the paddle respectively. Comparingthe respectively the characteristics of the two technologies, the process of push-pull propeller paddle beforeand after a short time, displacement, velocity, angle of elbow、 knee and hip and the "people-boat-oar"relative motion relationship in the research. The results of the study shows that:1..Differences between the "Luxembourg style" with "Adam technology"When pulling oars, at the front pull propeller, when the former less, elbow and shoulder greater variationAngle, displacement (row distance) small; and at the back pull propeller, the former took more time, angles ofshoulder and elbow showed smaller changes, more displacement angle (row distance); the former took lesstime and row distance during the overall push from less than the latter. And in push propeller, the whole change of speed rate of former boat is more quickly than the latter. In a complete paddle to process, the former boat speed change rate than the latter, performance for the"Lucenbourg technology" boat speed increased and stops the phenomenon.2. Connection between "Luxembourg style" and "Adam style"And when the two technologies paddle boat in the speed increase, performance for the athletes movement to slide back end, and there is no relative movement boats when boat velocity to the largest.Push the oars, both of two technologies in the boat speed are reduced, when athletes forward movementto slide end, and there is no relative movement with boat, boat velocity to the minimum.3..In horizontal, the movement of the center gravity of athlete has greatly affected the changing of boatvelocity.
