In recent years, the core stability theory has caused some domestic experts and scholars’concern, especially it takes its importance in many Chinese high level competitions. The half-pipe of snowboarding belongs to the skill-performance events group based on its athletic features. And because of its features, it requires high levels of controlling and balancing ability. Therefore, the starting point of the paper is how to improve the controlling ability by doing the core stability training in the half-pipe’s land drill. Its purpose is to improve the maximum condition of athletes’core region, body patterning, physical function, physical fitness and body composition. The study fundamentally fills the blank of using the core stability theory in half-pipe of snowboarding, and it enriches the training methods and skills in half-pipe.Methods:By the means of literature, interviews with experts, training experiment and measurement, this paper studies on proposing the core stability theory, and its background and content, etc. The results of the study indicate that:1 After two phases measurement of 12 weeks core stability training, the half-pipe athletes’ physical form (height, weight), vital capacity, body fat rate have changed. However, with the help of SPSS statistical matching, it results that P> 0.05, which indicates there is no significant difference.2 After 12 weeks’core stability training, the steps index of athletes (male) changes from former six weeks of no significant differences to later six weeks of significant differences, which means long-term complex training for male athletes has effect on the steps index.3 After 12 weeks’core stability training, it shows that the strength, reaction time, balance, speed and agility of athletes have significant differences in the first six weeks(0.01 < P < 0.05) and much more significant differences in the later six weeks (P < 0.01). 4 During 12 weeks of core stability training in snowboarding half-pipe, this training method has replaced the traditional warm-up exercises, and has enhanced the athletes’physical balance controlling ability effectually.Conclusion:Core stability training can be good to strengthening athlete’s coordination of their upper and lower limbs, and improve the transmission of nerve - muscle dominated ability, enhance the athletes’reaction time, balance and agility, etc. It broke the traditional training skills on land drill, which is better for athletes to improve their specialties and comprehensive ability. Suggestion:Progressive and scientific core stability training should be put into the warm-up exercises for teenagers in snowboarding half-pipe.
