With the development of reform for primary school curricula and teaching method,school-based teaching research has become a hot topic for contemporary primary educationreform and paid a lot of attention. The adaptation of school-based teaching research has manybenefits, such as solving practical problems in teaching, facilitating teachers’ career andpersonal development, as well as the improvement of education quality. However, as theschool-based teaching research in China is still in its initial stage, there are many problems inpractical aspects like institution building, resource support, supervision and administration.This dissertation is based on existing theories and practical teaching experiences. Byintegrated qualitative and quantitative researching methods like questionnaire, interview, andliterature review analysis, this article explored the questions and the accordingly responses forproblems existing in school-based teaching research in G primary school in Baoding. Aftertaking survey and interview, some problems have been found in school-based teachingresearch:1. the school-based teaching research system is not well organized, lacking flexibilityand enforcement;2. low level of investment of school-based teaching research resources andunreasonable allocation;3. the training for school-based teaching research becomes mere formality and thetraining content is way off practical needs;4. the school-based teaching research implementation lack regularity and sustainability;5. the criticism for school-based teaching research is one sided and mechanical;6. the main faculty for implementing school-based teaching research attached lowimportance to it and their teaching research capability is low to some degree;To solve the above problems, the author recommends the following suggestions:1. related systems should be built to facilitate the implementation of school-basedteaching research;2. necessary resources should be provided to support the development of school-basedteaching research;3. process supervision should be enhanced to improve the practical effect of school-based teaching research;4. the school-based teaching research accessing system should be optimizing and helpthe development of teachers;5. the cognition and teaching research capability of faculty should be improved.
